Far be it from the Land of the Rising Sun and the farce that was considered baseball’s official opening, today is the real deal, an opening on American soil that begins a historic farewell tour to the prestigious House that Ruth built.
The so-called new era is upon us as the new look Yankees turn to Joe Girardi to lead a season of uncertainty down a familiar path. Alex Rodriguez, Jorge Posada, Bobby Abreu, Mariano Rivera, and Andy Pettitte are all back following offseason question marks and
while young arms will leave many worried about season long stability, one thing remains certain, the American League’s most potent lineup from top to bottom returns to carry the majority of expectations.
Baseball’s back! The road to 27 World Series titles begins in 2008 and ends in Yankees Stadium in its final year of history. Let’s Go Yankees!
